Nelius is a director at our firm. The past 20 years of his experience were in the Property, Commercial and Deceased Estates Departments. Nelius is involved in the management of Lange Carr & Wessels Inc. and served as chairman of the board for many years.

Nelius’ father was one of the founders of the firm, and thus, he follows in his father’s footsteps. Nelius has been practicing as an attorney for more than 30 years, and also acts as trustee of several trusts. As a rural attorney, it is essential that a wide range of services be provided. Agriculture plays a major role in Upington's economy and therefore the client base is represented by a large number of farmers.  He also has a number of corporate clients. In order to provide a client with a professional and comprehensive service, the expertise of auditors is often used. 

Nelius also served as chairman of the local circle of the Cape Law Society. As part of his community activities, he was a member of the school governing bodies of two schools. He was also chairman of Cansa’s Relay for Life project. Nelius has been an enthusiastic runner for the past 25 years and has participated in several ultra-marathons, including the Comrades and Two Oceans Marathons. He believes that a healthy body creates a healthy mind. He also enjoys mountain biking.
