Stefan joined the firm as candidate attorney in 2021 and remains as an associate since being admitted as attorney during February 2023.

Stefan comes from a family of raisin farmers in the Northern Cape. He grew up on a raisin farm on the Orange River near Keimoes, where he developed a great appreciation for the lower Orange River region, the surrounding environment and community. During his school years Stefan was a keen equestrian and he was part of the Saddle Seat South Africa’s Protea team that competed against the U.S.A in 2014, in which he achieved a silver medal. Stefan also practiced Karate for 12 years and achieved his Black Belt in Shotokan Karate in 2014.  After matriculating at High School Duineveld in Upington he completed his LL.B at the North West University Potchefstroom Campus during 2020. During his legal studies Stefan regarded himself as being an involved student within the student life spheres of the university. In 2016 he was elected as Vice Chairperson and in 2019 as Chairperson of the Student Law Council of NWU. He also participated in the Campus Mock Trail competitions and was involved with numerous charity projects together with the Faculty of Law and the university.

Stefan enjoys being active and believes a healthy body embraces a healthy mind. He is excited for the future of his legal career and lives by the words of Steve Jobs: “If you are working on something you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.”
